Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Holy Cross Church located in Lynchburg, Va. is seeking a full time Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. The Coordinator is responsible for developing a parish based pastoral ministry with youth and young adults (may include young married couples and families). This position will provide formation and mentoring. Youth Minister

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Charlottesville, is seeking a full-time youth minister. Responsibilities include organization and supervision of all catechesis for grades 9-12, involving ministry to high school-age teens and families, coordination of Confirmation preparation, and post-Confirmation programs. The position also entails facilitation of in-house retreats, participation in outside retreats and trainings, fundraising events, and family dinners. Religious education classes are held on Sunday evenings during the school year, so availability at that time as well as during evenings is required. Candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, obedient to the Magisterium, with demonstrable grasp of Catholic Doctrine, particularly with regard to Sacramental and Moral Theology. Bachelor's degree (or graduate degree) preferred but not required. Experience in youth ministry is necessary.
