Administrative Assistant — Office of Social Ministries & the Center for Marriage, Family and Life

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a full time Administrative Assistant (AA) to support the Office of Social Ministries (21 hours/week) and the Center for Marriage, Family and Life (14 hours/week). The AA will provide support for the daily operation of these offices by providing excellent customer service and communication through personal interaction, by telephone and email. In addition, the AA assists with website updates, event planning, and administrative/financial aspects of office events. A high school diploma or its equivalent, plus 3 or more years of administrative experience is required. Proficiency in MS Office, strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and customer service focus are required. Knowledge of Church governance, practice and the nature of vocations is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility based on identified priorities. Social Ministry Regional Coordinator — Western Vicariate

The Office of Social Ministries seeks a full time Regional Coordinator for the Western Vicariate. This coordinator will oversee all OSM Ministries to include parish social ministry and program support; Catholic Social Teaching formation; prison ministry; far Southwest outreach; poverty alleviation efforts and Fuel and Hunger grants; global partnerships; migrant farm worker ministry; and refugee and immigrant education. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the parish leaders, pastors, and the other coordinators to provide support and training to assist the growth of these ministries. A Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s preferred). Two to five years experience of social justice, ministry experience is also required. This position requires a practicing Catholic in good standing. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written skills.
