Regional Coordinator for the Western Vicariate

The Office of Social Ministries seeks a full time Regional Coordinator for the Western Vicariate. This coordinator will oversee all OSM Ministries to include parish social ministry and program support; Catholic Social Teaching formation; prison ministry; far Southwest outreach; poverty alleviation efforts and Fuel and Hunger grants; global partnerships; migrant farm worker ministry; and refugee and immigrant education. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the parish leaders, pastors, and the other coordinators to provide support and training to assist the growth of these ministries. The Coordinator will have an office located in the Pastoral Center in Richmond.

A Bachelor's degree is required. Experience in social justice ministry is also required. This position requires a practicing Catholic in good standing. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written skills.

Coordinator of Religious Education

St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church in Suffolk, Va. is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Coordinator of Religious Education. Some of the requirements for this position include directing faith formation programs for children and youth; sacramental preparation; recruitment of catechists; preparing and monitoring the budget for faith formation and other administrative duties.
