Looking for Saint Mary’s Catholic School alumni!

Underneath the “Alumni” star on the Saint Mary’s website, there’s a new link to a form where former Saint Mary’s students and faculty/staff can share their current contact information with the Saint Mary’s development staff. We’re hoping to reconnect with these members of our community in advance of the school’s 50th anniversary, which will be celebrated during the 2016-17 school year. 85th Anniversary Mass

All are invited to attend the Liturgy celebrating the 85th Anniversary of the establishment of Our Lady of Victory Church and School in Portsmouth, Va. The Mass will take place on Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, High & Washington Streets, Portsmouth, at 7:00 p.m. There will be a musical prelude beginning at 6:30 p.m. The choir of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception will provide music during Mass, and the Knights of Peter Claver will serve as honor guard. All Souls Mass

The annual All Souls Day Mass will be celebrated Sunday, November 1, at 2 p.m. in the chapel mausoleum of St. Mary's Cemetery in Norfolk, preceded by the Rosary at 1:30. Father Brian Rafferty, pastor of St. Stephen Martyr Church in Chesapeake, will preside. To volunteer, contact John Langlois at 757-499-7202.


All Saints, All Hallows, All Voices & Brass!

Cathedral of the Sacred Heart will present the Washington Symphonic Brass and the 100-member Fairfax Choral Society program on November 1 at 2:30 p.m. The program will include works by Monteverdi, Gabrieli, Berlioz, Verdi and others. For more information on the concert visit

Concert at St. Bede's

Daniel Stipe, Director of Music at Trinity Lutheran Church, Richmond, will join Michael Steven Lianos, Associate Director of Music at Saint Bede Catholic Church, Williamsburg, for a concert of large-scale organ and piano works on Wednesday, November 4, at 1 p.m. All are welcome to this FREE concert to be held at Saint Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road in Williamsburg.


Unmarried Catholics

Single Adult Unmarried Catholic Enrichment (SAUCE), a peer ministry for singles and couples will host an information table before the Workshop by the Tribunal on Church Annulments on Thursday, November 5. at 6 p.m. in Richmond at the Diocesan Pastoral Center and on Friday, November 6, at 6 p.m. in Norfolk at St. Pius X. Christmas bazaar

The St. Augustine Women's Guild will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Church Hall located at 4400 Beulah Road, Chesterfield 23237. Meet Me at the Matinee

Saint Gertrude High School in Richmond is inviting all 5th and 6th grade girls to a showing of their fall musical "Bye Bye Birdie" on Sunday, November 8.
