Dean of Academics

Charlottesville Catholic School is seeking a full-time Dean of Academics (DoA). The DoA is responsible for working with the faculty to ensure research-based strategies, formative assessment, data driven planning, and differentiation in the classroom are utilized to increase individual student achievement. The DoA plays an important role in promoting relationships among students, staff, and families by maintaining strong lines of communication. A Bachelor’s degree, five years’ teaching experience and a current Virginia teaching license are required; an advanced degree, background in counseling and practicing Catholic are a plus. Must be willing to uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church. Must have excellent writing skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment.

Internal Auditor

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking a full time Internal Auditor. The Internal Auditor will perform parish internal audits and serve as a parish and school resource. Some travel is required. Qualifications: BS in accounting is required and should hold a CPA license, and have 5 years experience. Knowledge of fund accounting, budgeting methods and not for profit accounting preferred. Communication skills, computer knowledge and time management skills are essential. The position requires and demands initiative and drive and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects. Religious Education Coordinator

Star of the Sea Parish in Virginia Beach is seeking a Religious Education Coordinator for grades Kindergarten through adult. This is a full-time position. This position will be responsible for preparation for parents and students for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and teen Confirmation. Bookkeeper

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church is seeking a part-time bookkeeper (20-25 hours per week). The bookkeeper will be responsible for the performance of all duties and functions associated with standard bookkeeping protocols and approved practices to include proper maintenance of all finance records and reports; diligent processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll preparation; basic understanding of income/expense statements and balance sheets; budget preparation and tracking, and finance summaries as requested by the Pastor and/or Finance Chairperson. The ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality is absolutely necessary. Must be proficient in various computer software programs (Microsoft Office products) and the ability to learn custom church databases.

Qualifications: Associates Degree in accounting or equivalent education and/or 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience.

Youth Minister

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church is seeking a part-time, 30 hour a week Youth Minister. The Youth Minister plans and leads a comprehensive catechetical youth ministry program with various components. The Youth Minister will organize middle and high school youth events, including service opportunities and social activities, while also organizing and encouraging participation in diocesan and other youth events. The Youth Minister recruits and engages adult volunteers to participate in events, supervising staff and/or volunteers including program leaders and support staff. The Youth Minister will also lead a young adult group in fellowship and young adult events. The Youth Minister will be responsible for facilitating and monitoring retreats and retreat progress.

Applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. A bachelor's degree in theology or religious studies is required; a master's degree is preferred. The candidate must have experience in establishing and maintaining balanced budgets. The candidate must be a good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
