Junior Kindergarten Teacher

St. Bridget School seeks a teacher for our full-day Junior Kindergarten Program for 4 and 5 year olds for the 2016-2017 school year. The ideal candidate is a highly qualified early childhood educator who is able to develop engaging and creative lessons consistent with the Diocesan curriculum guidelines and standards within a faith community. The teacher will be expected to cultivate a culture of student learning and personal growth, establish a positive rapport with students, guide students to develop skills and knowledge for lifelong learning, create responsible citizens, develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and staff and support the schools mission.

Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field from an accredited university and a current Virginia Teacher’s license; Prefer a minimum of 2 years' experience; and must demonstrate proficiency with oral and written communication.

Physics Teacher

Saint Gertrude High School seeks an innovative, collaborative and experienced full-time Physics teacher to work within a dynamic department whose mission is to foster a love of Science, research and creativity among the students. Specifically, this faculty member will teach Physics I to 9th grade students, Physics II to upper level science students and coach the popular and successful Robotics Team.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree, preferred; valid Virginia Teaching License in Physics; minimum of 3 years teaching experience; field experience in engineering or collegiate-level coursework in engineering concepts or applied computer science preferred; strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
