Director of Campus Ministry — ODU

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a full time Director of Campus Ministry, supporting Old Dominion University. The Director serves thestudents, staff and faculty of the university, as well as, alumni and parents, through liturgies, programs, and pastoral care offered by campus ministry. The campus minister also works closely with the Pastor of the local parish, Blessed Sacrament and the University.

The Director supports the mission of the Catholic Community by being a prophetic voice on campus. This position requires a practicing Catholic in good standing and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a field related to theology or pastoral ministry is required. The position also requires 3-5 years’ experience in pastoral work, preferably. Night and weekend work is necessary during the academic year.

Coordinator of Faith Formation

Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, in Bedford, VA, is seeking a full-time (30 hours/week) Coordinator of Faith Formation from Pre-K to Adults. This position includes all aspects of catechetical and pastoral programs including sacramental preparation, reporting, and record keeping; facilitation of catechist recruitment, documentation and education; and all administrative functions required of these duties.

This Coordinator will be responsible for Virtus training and background checks for all volunteers working with children and youth. Applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. A bachelor’s degree in theology, religious education or a related field, or equivalent, is required.

The Coordinator must have Master Level Certification from PATHWAYS and at least 3 years’ experience as a catechist or teacher. The candidate must be an independent worker with multi-tasking, planning and organizational skills. PCatholic Diocese of Richmond — Network Administrator

The Network Administrator will provide direct technical assistance and backend support to Catholic Diocese of Richmond staff using hardware/software and audio/visual technologies. Applicants must have experience with Windows 7/8.x/10, Server 2008/12, Azure, Office 365, VMware and Cisco Call Manager. A four year degree or equivalent work experience in a networked environment for a small to mid-sized organization is required.

Pastoral Associate

Resurrection Catholic Church, located in Moneta, Virginia, is seeking a Pastoral Associate, a deacon or a layperson to whom the pastor entrusts much of the pastoral care and spiritual and organizational leadership for the parish. Responsibilities and tasks include:; providing leadership in coordinating the sacramental needs of the parish; providing vision and leadership in ministry and enabling others to fulfill the ministerial needs of the parish.

This position requires a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Theology, Pastoral Ministry or Church Administration with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a parish or in campus ministry. Working knowledge in Liturgy, Canon Law, administration and supervision are required. The position is a minimum of 35 hours/week. There will be regular evening and weekend meetings and events, with regular office hours.

Organist/Choirmaster

Saint Benedict parish in Richmond, VA seeks a full-time choirmaster/organist to begin on May 1, 2016 or earlier. The parish is a traditional community of 600 families that celebrates three weekend Masses according to the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite. Music includes the Ordinary of the Mass sung in Gregorian chant according to English and various Latin settings, proper texts, and hymns. The parish has a Pasi Organ (two manual, tracker action, II/P, 24 stops), two choirs (adult and children), and values the beauty of the sacred liturgy. This position will also plan, prepare and perform for school Masses, Holy Days, weddings and funerals.

Seeking an Executive Director to lead the Sacred Heart Center in Richmond, Virginia.
