Director-Coordinator of Music

Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, seeks a Music Director/Music Coordinator beginning June 1. This position is 35 hours per week. Applicant must be a practicing Catholic with knowledge of Catholic liturgy and liturgical music. Spanish Teacher

Saint Gertrude High School, a college-preparatory school for girls in Richmond, is seeking an innovative, collaborative and experienced full-time Spanish teacher to teach language and culture classes. A valid Va. teaching license in Spanish, secondary level, is required. A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree preferred. Candidates should have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Google Apps for Education and teaching in 1:1 environment experience preferred.

Part-Time Music & Liturgy Coordinator

The Cluster parishes of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsville and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Rocky Mount, Virginia seek a part-time Music and Liturgy Coordinator ( 10-15hrs/week) to plan and coordinate music and liturgy for parish worship. Coordinator will lead and/or accompany music for all Saturday evening and Sunday morning liturgies. They will coordinate musical needs and provide direction of choir, cantors and musicians. Must be available on short notice for exceptional liturgies (funerals).

Qualifications: At least one year of related experience required along with proficiency in keyboards (piano/organ) and vocal skills. Ability to work with Spanish music ministry. Strong knowledge and appreciation of Roman Catholic liturgy will be expected. Formal training in music is required with liturgical experience preferred.
