Mozart Requiem Mass

St. Edward Music Ministry and Salisbury Presbyterian Church will present the Mozart Requiem Mass on Friday April 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Salisbury Presbyterian Church, 13621 W. Salisbury Road, Midlothian. Admission is free.

Youth Choral Mass

The Schola, comprised of Catholic youth from age eight to early teens, will be a featured ensemble in singing a Mass on Sunday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Mary Mother of the Church Benedictine Abbey, 12829 River Road, Richmond. Father Brian Capuano and Father James Kauffmann will be the celebrants, and the youth will sing three selections from the Gregorian Mass XII (Kyrie, Sanctus, Agnus Dei).Thety will be directed by Colleen Grafton on the Ward Method of Music Education this summer at the Church Music Association Colloquium in St. Louis. Donations will be accepted at a reception following Mass.


School Theater Production

The “Seussical, Jr.” production of Charlottesville Catholic will be “on the road” to the following venues around Charlottesville on the following dates: Wed., May 4, at 6:30 p.m., Main Street Arena; Fri., May 6, at 3 p.m., Our Lady of Peace retirement center; Mon., May 9, at 6 p.m., Saints Peter & Paul, Palmyra; Tue., May 10, 6:30 p.m., Senior Center; Thur., May 12, and Fri., May 13, both at 6:30 p.m., Church of the Incarnation.

Haitian Education Fundraiser

The diocesan Haitian Education Support Team is seeking sponsors and golfers for its benefit Golf Tournament on Friday, May 13, at 1 p.m. at Honey Bee Golf Course in Virginia Beach. Proceeds will be used for teacher training, the supervision of teachers, and assistance in improving education for the children in the Central Plateau of Haiti. Lebanese Food Festival

The 32nd annual Lebanese Food Festival will be held rain or shine May 13, 14 and 15, at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 4611 Sadler Road, Glen Allen. Hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking are free with a moderate charge for food.
